March 5, 2009 - EPD Public Meeting to discuss Plant Washington. Sandersville Technical College - 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

March 17, 2009 - Vote YES to continue SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax).

May 2, 2009 - Trash to Treasures on the square in downtown Sandersville. Set-up begins at 6:30 a.m. and will  conclude at noon. For more information please contact the chamber office 478-552-3288

Friday, June 26 – Open Market on the Square in Sandersville. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. We will have the Farmer’s Market open with items that are grown or made here in Washington County along with the retailers located on the square open late for everyone to browse the shops and have a wonderful evening on the square.

 

Monthly Board of Directors meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in the ECCI Conference Room in the Chamber of Commerce office.  The Executive Committee meets at 12:00 Noon just prior to the board meeting.

Our Annual Kaolin Festival is held the second Saturday in October.  This year's festival is scheduled for October 10, 2009 with the arts and crafts on the square at 9:00 a.m. and the parade at 10:30 a.m.  Visit the Kaolin Festival page for more information.

The Chamber of Commerce Annual Spring Recognition Banquet will be held April 16, 2009 at Washington County High School in the cafeteria. Tickets are $30 each or a table for 8 for $240.00.  Tickets will be available at the Chamber office in early March.  Entertainment will be provided as well as a delicious meal.  Honorees for the evening are the STAR Students and teachers from Brentwood School and Washington County High School as well as the top ten graduating seniors from Brentwood and the top ten SAT scores from WACO.
